National Finance Limited (NFL) holds its 15th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on 12th June 2017 at Four Points by Sheraton.
The 15th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of NFL Shareholders was held on Monday, 12th June 2017 at Four Points by Sheraton Dhaka, 6/A North Avenue, Commercial Area, Gulshan-2, Dhaka-1212. Mr. Md. Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of NFL presided over the Meeting, which was attended by the Vice Chairman Mr. Inamul Haq Khan and Directors - Mrs. Roushan Akter, Mr. Asif Zahir, Mr. Maruf Akter Mannan, Mrs. Arifa Kabir, Ms. Fahima Mannan. Mr. Saufddin M Naser, Managing Director, Mr. Md. Golam Sarwar Bhuiyan, DMD and Mr. Nazmul Karim, Company Secretary were also present. The Shareholders of the company attended the AGM. The Chairman presented the Directors’ Report and the Audited Financial Statements for the year 2016 before the Shareholders. In his speech he mentioned that amid intense competition among the NBFIs, NFL continued to maintain its growth both in terms of business volume and profitability. In the year 2016 NFL Operating Profit stood BDT 326.78 million. Profit before Tax reached to Tk.199.73 million and Earnings per Share (EPS) stood at BDT 0.55. Total Assets of the Company stood at BDT 7769.76 million.
He also presented the future plan of the company, which among others ,emphasized on diversifying loan products, focusing more on SME and micro enterprise financing, and opening branches within and outside Dhaka. The Shareholders also took part in the discussion on Audited Accounts and Directors’ report. They appreciated the Board and the Management for such a splendid business result, operational and financial performances. The Chairman replied to the Shareholders’ queries.
For the year ended 31st December 2016, the Shareholders unanimously approved the Stock Dividend @ 5% for the year ended on 31 December 2016.
